Hey everyone, hoping someone with more Jeep experience can help me understand something. I took my Wrangler out to the desert last weekend for some light dune bashing, nothing too crazy, and noticed something weird with the brakes. After about an hour of driving off-road, the brake pedal started feeling really soft and spongy, like I had to push it much further than normal to get any stopping power. Once I got back on tarmac and drove for a while, it returned to normal. Is this just brake fade from heat or could there be something wrong with my system? The pads are probably due for a change soon anyway so I’m going to get them done regardless. I was looking online for places that know Jeeps and found a Jeep brake pad installation service Dubai that seemed to specialise in Wranglers and off-road vehicles. Before I book in, has anyone else experienced this soft pedal thing when off-roading? Should I be looking at different pad compounds better suited for desert driving or is this just normal behaviour? Don’t want to spend money on new pads only to have the same issue next time I go out. Any advice from fellow desert runners would be massively appreciated.
